Instructor Bio:

My name is Don Kavanagh I got started in the PDR world in 1989. I was the first to be trained by a German craftsman named Juergen Holtzer. I was trained with a hammer and not a knock down. To this day I still use a hammer for all my applications and repairs. I enjoy every aspect in the art of repairing damaged metal. I have trained over 100 Pdr tech’s in my career. I enjoy helping others unlock their full potential when it comes to repairing dents in vehicles.

Instructor Bio:

I started my journey in PDR at the age of 15. My dad, who had previously worked for Fix-A-Dent and later Dent Wizard in GA, started his own company in 2002 and I went with him on his route where I received most of my early training. After graduating college in 2006, PDR became a full time job (not a career yet). I established a weekly route of my own and quickly learned how profitable this business could be while also allowing for flexibility in scheduling. For a kid in his mid 20’s I thought I was doing fantastic, and I was.....or was I? One day on a whim I decided to listen to this podcast called the PDR College podcast and after a few episodes I was hooked. I heard stories of how guys were dominating their markets, unlike me, and I got “plugged in” to the FB groups where I realized there was a brotherhood of techs willing to help each other grow and succeed. I went to MTE for the first time which blew my mind. Things began to change for me. As a result, my passion for this industry has grown tremendously over the years and I’m always striving to better myself and the business. The me now, in my mid 30’s, is totally different than the me back then. Whether I’m servicing a wholesale account, retail customer, performing motorcycle PDR, or simply working on my soft skills to grown the business, in everything I do, I try to do it to the best of my ability. I hope I can inspire you to do the same.
